Zan Artefacts is passionate about craftsmanship and celebrates community creating productive employment throughout Iran. We are proud of the artisans we work with, some of whom who are among the first in their village to have an opportunity to work, earn a living using a respected skillset and give back to their families and community.
Zan Artefacts is committed to equality and was founded to offer a means of support to women throughout Iran where their rights have been restricted since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Working with Zan offers our female artisans a sense of freedom, security and financial independence. We partner directly with our talented craftswomen and have formed secure relationships with them to ensure that they are paid fairly and safely without going through husbands or fathers.
Please note variations in form or finish are the result of unique, handcrafted items using the traditional method of Kapu.
Zan Artefacts works directly with female artisans throughout the villages of Iran. Direct communication offers them support, a sense of empowerment and financial security. To own a piece from Zan is to cherish and value the woman who made it.
