In Imperial Persia, Khanum is the title of a noble lady and is given out of great respect. Combined with Joon, the beautiful name Khanjoon translates as Noble Dear.

Zan Artefacts is committed to equality and was founded to offer a means of support to women throughout Iran where their rights have been restricted since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Working with Zan offers our female artisans a sense of freedom, security and financial independence. We partner directly with our talented craftswomen and have formed secure relationships with them to ensure that they are paid fairly and safely without going through husbands or fathers.
